4K core memory fragment

A fragment of core memory captured on a 4K screen

This work was created using a stylus driven by an Axidraw plotter to drypoint etch a fragment of an image of core rope memory on an acrylic plate scavenged from a broken 4K LED TV display.

The brittle plastic of the plate fractured while trimming it down in a guillotine and continued to change under the pressure of the press so each print is unique due to this destructive process.

The material has thousands of tiny lines manufactured onto it which caught the stylus and 'pixelated' the lines which also hold ink themselves, delivering a dark plate tone with a subtle linear effect echoing old CRT scanlines.

Limited edition of 7, numbered and signed

This print uses archival paper stock and ink but to stay in best condition it would like to live in a frame, ideally with UV filter glass, out of the direct sun.
